FMSQ PRESS RELEASE - 2025 PRE-SEASON UPDATES

Dear FMSQ Members and Participants,

Here are some important updates as we prepare for the 2025 season.

2025 Rulebook Update

The 2025 Rulebook has been updated following suggestions received, discussions from the 2025 Rule Committee meeting, and final approval by the Board of Directors.

The rule and class changes are highlighted in color to make them easier to spot. We encourage you to review the rulebook to be well prepared for the upcoming season.

The Board of Directors bases its decisions on several factors: statistics, budgetary realities, the overall interest of the federation, external standards and constraints, etc. Of course, not all requests and suggestions can be accepted each year, but FMSQ sincerely thanks everyone who takes the time to participate in this process. This involvement is what allows the series to continue evolving.

The english version of the rulebook will be available in the upcoming days. For now only the french version is available.

2025 Memberships Opening Early Next Week

Annual and family memberships will be available on Livelaps early next week. The same procedures as previous years will apply.

➡️ Rider numbers will be reserved until April 30. After this date, any unclaimed numbers will become available to everyone.

To participate in FMSQ race events, you must have either:

  • an annual membership (individual or family)

  • or a weekend membership

The annual membership allows you to:

  • save money if you plan to race multiple events this season

  • have a voting right as a federation member

  • reserve your rider number (between 16 and 999)

A small reminder: for family memberships, children aged 18 and over cannot be included unless they are students (proof will be required: student ID or school transcript).

Also, please note that the FQMHR annual membership card is mandatory for all Quebec residents to participate in FMSQ events. This card is free and only takes a few minutes to complete online.

Admission Fees at Competition Sites

Starting this season, admission fees will be $20 per person (free for children under 5 years old).

This decision was made by the FMSQ Board of Directors to ensure continued access to quality venues for our future events. Admission fees are the main source of revenue for promoters and landowners, who are essential to maintaining our race calendar.

All other fees related to memberships, race registrations, and transponders will remain unchanged from last year.

2025 Annual General Meeting

The date is confirmed: Tuesday, May 13, in the evening, via videoconference.

An official announcement will follow in the coming days with full details, including information about the Board of Directors' election positions.

Publication of 2025 Event Pages

Specific web pages for each event will be available very soon. Stay tuned to learn more about the 2025 FMSQ destinations!

Thank you all for your support and trust.

We look forward to seeing you very soon in La Tuque to kick off the season!

– The FMSQ Team
